The Ida Ballard Simon Memorial Scholarship Fund committee requests your support of the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament which will tee-off at 8:00 am on Saturday - April 25, 2009 at the Riverside-King Golf Course Memphis, Tennessee
The goal of this event is to raise scholarship funds that will assist eligible graduating seniors of Memphis city Public schools attend Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri (Ida’s Undergraduate College Alma Mater). The fundraiser will enable students to pursue a higher education from Lincoln University. Once this fund becomes endowed, a 4-year scholarship to Lincoln University -Jefferson City, Missouri will become available to eligible students(s). This fund has been established by the siblings of Ida Ballard Simon and will be administered by the Lincoln University Foundation, Inc.
Beginning May 2009, Annual Book Scholarships (up to $500.00 annually) will be available to eligible graduating seniors of Memphis City Public Schools that have accepted an offer to attend any Historical black College or University (HBCU)
We realize that these are trying economic times and we welcome you to join our mission to support the higher education of Memphis city Public Schools Students by becoming a sponsor or by purchasing space in the 2009 Souvenir Booklet
